thinking about generative possibility
Research Scientist, NVIDIA. Previously I was on the Science team at Hugging Face, an affiliated researcher with Stanford HAI working on the Technical Ethics chapter of the AI Index Report, and a founding engineer at Cohere, where I worked on core model framework and safety research. Sometimes I publish.
Before that, I built machine learning systems at Dessa for some of the largest companies in North America,
studied smart cities as a research fellow for Sidewalk Labs & Waterfront Toronto,
and spent time as a Fellow at the Recurse Center in New York City studying misinformation and our information ecosystem.
Before that, I was a data scientist, when being a data scientist was very hip.
A long time ago, I spent a year in the Writer-in-Residence role as part of one of the most unique writing residencies in the country.
More recently, I produced SINOSTORIES, a tiny book celebrating the Sino diaspora in North America.
Some other words are here.
I enjoy building unnecessary things with machine learning.
